You wouldn't think that a weekly news magazine would be useful anymore, but The Economist is more important that ever. In a world of 5-second sound bytes and pithy click-bait headlines, this magazine provides the kind of in-depth news and analysis you really can't get from mainstream news sources.

The Economist subscription
I have been a subscriber of The Economist for 5 years and I think it is unquestionably the best news magazine on the stands today. The articles and content are first-rate and I don't know why more people don't read it each week. The cost is surprisingly low so it's considerably cheaper than your daily newspaper. It is remarkably unbiased in its political views plus I appreciate the fact that they don't run lightweight articles. Subscribing to The Economist is a no-brainer for me
Worth it
"The Economist" is a very good weekly news magazine. It covers world politics and economy as well as some amount of technology (I wouldn't call that science, really) and culture. Luckily, it does not publish any celebrity news.
It gives an alright overview over what happened in the world, so I can recommend subscribing to it.

The Economist is simply the best weekly newspaper on the market. The articles are great, and the in-depth reports are even better.

The articles are current and extremely well written. Each issue offers a great balance of home and foreign issues. If you want to expand your knowledge and keep up to date with what is happening globally, economically, and politically then this magazine is without a doubt the way to go.

Highly Recommended
The Economist has consistently been the best international political and economic journal. The strength of its research, analysis and journalism is superb. The presentation is crisp, clean and doesn't ever distract from the content.
